So you just read all the health benefits of sourdough, and now you start picking up “sourdough” loaves at your local grocer. The effort is appreciated – we all know how crazy life can get! – but I have sad news… you’re basically eating white bread with some added acetic acid and vinegar to get the sour taste.

If you want a true sourdough – And you do! Check out the reasons here – you’ll have to either find a specialty baker and buy loaves at two to four times the cost of a grocery store loaf, or make it yourself.

Make it yourself! Make it yourself!  I’m here to cheer you on! And my technique is not nearly as complicated or time-consuming, so it’s a great place to start your sourdough journey. The recipe duration may be 14+ hours, but only about 15 minutes of that is hands-on.
