Hi! I’m Cherie Halle. I’m a former Systems Engineering Consultant turned stay-at-home Mom, and loving it! I started baking artisan sourdough boules several years ago as an outlet to process a trauma, but stopped when the boule wasn’t working for the family. While the taste of the bread was amazing, the crust was too hard, the holes were too big and PB&J leaked through. Most of all, it was time-consuming and complicated. I started baking bread again about a year later with one goal in mind: to make a 100% whole wheat sourdough sandwich loaf that was easy enough I could whip it up on a weekly basis with two small children underfoot. I think I can humbly say, I’ve done it! I’m so excited to share the process and recipes for all the different variations, and I hope you enjoy it just as much as we do!
